Is it the weekend yet?

June 12-18

Roofers, exterminators, insurance adjusters. Are these the people I really want to spend my summer with? Looks like that's my lot in life, though. Oh well. This, too, shall pass. Erg.

That's a direct quote from last week and I gotta tell you, nothing much has changed. The insurance adjustor says this, roofer number one says that, roofer number two notices something else, roofer number three makes new discoveries and misses some obvious stuff. And I know I'm not the only person in Austin going through all this right now. I gotta tell you, I'm not enjoying it.

I am, however, enjoying rehearsals for the upcoming production of Kidnapped by CraigsList, in which I get to play (among other things) a crazy lady who wears a saucepan on her head. Considering the entire script is based entirely on things appearing on Austin's CraigsList, I have to feel I'm doing my part to keep Austin weird. It's a good feeling.
