Everything that's not the ACL festival...

September 13-19

Your old pal Chris has been in sick-bay this past week; but she's feeling human again, so that's a good thing. Sleep and mango smoothies have worked their magic, yee haw. And not a minute too soon, since work has already begun on Far Away -- the next big project. (Stay tuned for details.)

As you probably know (and if you don't, then you must be living in a vacuum), this is ACL festival weekend. And, as you probably know, the only tix left are a few for Friday. And, as you also probably know, I am so NOT a huge festival person -- nothing like heat and crowds to turn me into a cranky old curmudgeon -- so I won't be addressing that event in this week's list. It is well covered in the Chron and the XLent, so look there for all the pertinent information. Instead, this week I'll be giving you lots and lots of alternative options, assuming you can find a parking place.

But first -- the video du week, a most excellent one I assure you! People have the coolest gifts/talents/abilities/whatever, as I think you'll agree when you see this guy (Australian magician Raymond Crowe) doing something very, very well.
