Good morning, good morning, good morning-ah

April 3-9

Bluebonnets everywhere. Pollen all over my car and in my nose. The Oasis starts up its music on the deck again this weekend. Must be April!

Not much to write about today, but that's OK because the video I have chosen for you this week says far more than I could ever think of. I'm not sure just what, but I think you'll agree that it is one of the more unusual rock concerts you may ever see. Enjoy.

Santa Cruz Center for Culture / 1805 E. 7th / 474-TIXS / 8 pm Fri & Sat; 2 pm Sun (family)
This is the newest offering from Aztlan Dance Company. Looks kind of interesting: there will be two "stories" -- the first explores a pre-Columbian myth, and the second one is called "Salon Boogaloo", which I would interpret as most decidedly post-Columbian.

This event is a community outreach sort of thing that is being held in conjunction with Robert Johnson: Trick the Devil. There will be plenty of live music by some of Austin's senior blues men. Bring your own instrument for a blues jam. And bring an empty stomach 'cuz there'll be lots of mouth-watering bar-b-q.
